Balls system
Mahjong: a combination of strategy and luck!
- Basic Combinations
Pung – three identical tiles of the same suit:
- Regular Pong: 2 points.
- Pong with a dragon tile (red, green, white): 4 points.
- Chow – three consecutive tiles of the same suit:
- Regular Chow (e.g. 5, 6, and 7 bamboo): 1 point.
Kong – four identical tiles of the same suit:
- Regular Kang: 4 points.
- If the Kang consists of tiles that the player received from other players: 6 points.
Pair – two identical tiles, necessary to complete the game:
- Regular Pair: 1 point.
- Special Tiles
Dragons (red, green, white):
- Each dragon tile used in combinations brings 2 points.
- If the player has collected all three dragon tiles: 6 points.
Winds (East, South, West, North):
- Each wind tile used in combinations: 1 point.
- If the player collects all 4 winds, this can be a bonus for completing the game (depending on the game variation).
Flowers and Seasons:
- Each flower or season tile: 2 points.
- If the player collects all 4 flowers or all 4 seasons: 8 points.
- Bonuses for specific combinations
Full Mahjong (Mahjong) - a winning combination that includes 4 combinations (Pong, Chi or Kang) and a pair:
- 10 points for completing the game.
Dragon Mahjong - if the player collects all three dragon tiles and also wins with these tiles:
- 20 points.
Pure Hand - if the player uses only one suit (for example, all tiles in the hand are bamboo):
- 12 points.
Full Wind Combination – if the player has collected all 4 wind tiles (East, South, West, North):
- 15 points.
- Additional Bonuses
Early Mahjong – if the player ends the game before he has collected 5 tiles:
- 5 points.
East Win Bonus – if the player sitting in the East wins:
- 2 points.
Win by Discard – if the player wins by taking a tile from another player’s discard pile:
- 3 points.
Flower or Season Pair Mahjong:
- 5 points for using one pair of flowers or seasons in a winning combination.
